One of the biggest surprises of E3 2019 was the reveal of Minecraft Dungeons. Many assumed it would be Minecraft in an enclosed space – played in first person – but it turns out to be a dungeon crawler descending in Diablo’s line. Players have amazing abilities with which they can decimate their enemies.
When Microsoft initially revealed Minecraft Dungeons, the company said it was PC exclusive. This doesn’t appear to be the case, as it was confirmed for Xbox One on stage. Unfortunately, the wait is a bit long because the game is releasing in the spring of 2020.
The gameplay seems fluid and quite deep. Some of the abilities – like an arcane beam shooting out of your hands – are jaw-dropping. Hopefully we’ll find out more about the game in the coming months. It’s unclear if he features a storyline at this point or random encounters. Despite that, we can’t wait to get our hands on it next year.
Are you interested in the game? Let us know. It’s great to see the franchise growing in new directions. No one expected a Diablo-like game, that’s for sure!
