Update, June 30, 2020 (6:30 PM CT) – An official response from Mojang Studios confirms that some players are receiving Jungle Awakens DLC sooner

Well, that fixes the problem. Some players are getting the Jungle Awakens DLC earlier than others, but the release seems to be accidental. If you haven’t received Jungle Awakens yet, don’t worry, the update should still be officially released on all platforms starting tomorrow. A few lucky ones will have a few hours head start, but that won’t stop everyone from having fun together tomorrow.

In a surprise move, it looks like Jungle Awakens is releasing globally a full day earlier than planned! Reports of the DLC update appearing started spreading on Twitter, and our very own Jez Corden confirmed that he saw and downloaded the DLC on his own. There’s been no word from Mojang Studios about the early release, but interested players should go check it out right away and see if they’ve already received the update as well.

Jungle Awakens is the first major update to Minecraft Dungeons and adds a slew of new content including levels, mobs, gear, items, and more. There’s no shortage of new delights to discover here, and we’ll work hard to bring you the best we can find. First impressions show that Jungle Awakens levels are incredibly detailed, with beautifully rendered foliage and environments, so we’re very excited to see what a few more months of development has done for Minecraft Dungeons.

There is also a new Lost Temple dungeon that is added to the game as part of Jungle Awakens, but is available for free to all players, so even if you don’t have the Hero Edition or the Hero Pass, you can still jump into an exciting new area and see what it’s all about. We’ll let you know as soon as we know more, but in the meantime, welcome to the jungle.
